Our beginning

"Baladre" was born in 1979 at the time  when some of the younger members of the village felt encouraged with the idea of rediscovering their own folklore.

Recovering "Dances of the Palace Street"

The first task of the group was recovering the "Dances of the Palace Street".

They took place after the harvesting of the wheat at the begining of the summer from the Middle Ages.

The people went to the Palace to pay their taxes to the Lord of the County and then danced for him.

Today all the people of the town participate in the dance, becoming it in a popular festival, taking place every year the saturday before Corpus Christi's Sunday.
